Review: Cocoa Pink - Tahitian Monoi Cake

Review: Cocoa Pink - Tahitian Monoi Cake

This was another recent Cocoa Pink acquisition, made on a whim as something I wouldn't normally choose, especially since I had no clue what Polynesian Monoi Oil smelled like.

Description: Vanilla cake batter injected with candied citrus, moist white cake smothered in whipped butter cream icing touched with nuances of Polynesian Monoi oil.

In the Bottle: Fruity butter cream frosting

Wet: A brief sharpness of the citrus but it faded off after 30 minutes

Drydown: A sweet gardenia scent

Throw: Medium

Wear Time: 4 hours for a single application

Verdict: Definitely worth trying in my book. Amazing scent. I thought this would be more foodie with "cake" being in the name but it is just the perfect light blend of gardenia which I love, and vanilla which I also love.

Cocoa Pink's sample vial size is a dram (1/8 oz/3.55ml) with a twist cap. The bottles are clearly labeled with an easily readable font.
