Review: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - Absinthe

Review: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - Absinthe

I had ordered this as part of a group of lighter scents in an attempt to branch out from all those heavier, darker scents I tend to migrate to.

Description: An intoxication blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon.

In the Bottle: It smells sharp and cool, almost astringent

Wet: Fresh yet spicy.

Drydown: This scent is light and fresh, with a underlying note of something sexy and spicy. It has a wonderful sharpness  that certainly reminds drinking absinthe in a bar in New Orleans.

Throw: Low

Wear Time:  4 hours for a single application.

Verdict: Would be a good night time scent for Spring or Summer if you enjoy sharp, crisp overtones.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's sample or "imp" as they call it,is the standard stoppered 1ml vial. It came clearly labeled with an easily readable font.
