Review: Haus of Gloi - Sol (Summer 2015)

Review: Haus of Gloi - Sol (Summer 2015)

Description: The sun, at its apex: Dry gingergrass, litsea cubeba, neroli, frankincense tears, saffron infused honey, rosemary and the faint touch of true cinnamon bark.

In the Bottle: Gingergrass, frankincense, and rosemary

Wet: Gingergrass and Rosemary

Drydown: Gingergrass, Frankincense and a hint of honey

Throw: Medium

Wear Time:  2 hours for a single application.

Verdict: The gingergrass smells very similar to lemongrass on me. It’s a lovely, bright, tart scent. Coupled with the sweetness of the Frankincense and honey - (which for once wasn't overpowering on me!) made this scent impress me. It really does evoke the mental image of the sun at it's apex, fascinating. Maybe layering this with Driftwood would give the scent of a hot beach day. :)

Haus of Gloi’s sample vial is the standard stoppered 1 ml vial. It came clearly labeled with an easily readable font.
